Students' views about scientific activities as well as corresponding interests and attitudes are affected by their science education – represented by their science teachers. This survey shows a comparison between university students intending to become a teacher and other students in five German universities (N=563). They were asked for their concrete views, interests and self-efficacies according to authentic scientists' activities. On the base of these concepts it will be possible to discuss the role of today's science teachers as representatives for science in school education.
